Finborough School, near Stowmarket in Suffolk, is an independent day and boarding school for children of all ages, set in an eighteenth century former manor house. Many of the classrooms and dormitories are situated in new, modern buildings around the school’s sixty acre site.
For many years, Finborough School has used Drugasar balanced flue wall heaters to heat the buildings. Because they can be operated centrally or independently, they provide much more flexible heating than a universal ‘wet’ system. They are room-sealed, providing warmth and comfort for staff and students. They also require no electrical supply, and can be run on both natural gas and LPG.
Recently, Drugasar engineers have installed new ‘Art’ series models in the dormitories and art studios, bringing the number of heaters in the school to over sixty in total.
According to school bursar, Bernice McMullan, the school is delighted with the convenience and economy provided by the new heating system. They are also pleased with the efficiency of the installation, which was carried out with minimal disruption to the workings of the school.
